How Can SMP Help You?
Alopecia Coverage
Sudden and unexpected hair loss is usually caused by alopecia. There are numerous different types of alopecia that cause hair loss in different parts of the body. The main four that we see in our clients here:
- Alopecia Areata is a hair loss that occurs in clumps or patches in various areas of the body, including the scalp.
- Alopecia Androgenic is also known as pattern hair loss; this can be in males and females and is when the hair begins to thin and gradually fall out.
- Alopecia Totalis is complete hair loss of the scalp.
- Alopecia Universalis is complete hair loss of the body, scalp and face.
With Scalp Micropigmentation, we can implant microdots of pigment into the scalp’s hair loss areas which will mimic the look of natural hair follicles and leave you looking like you have hair. If you’re experiencing alopecia areata, the hair loss is usually just patches around the size of a 50 pence piece. The replicated hair follicles can be implanted in and around the patches to camouflage the hair loss amongst the original hair follicles. If you have one of the most severe types of alopecia, we can do a complete head treatment. Microdots are implanted across the whole scalp helping to restore the hair line and give you the appearance of a full head of hair.
Although there is no cure for alopecia, scalp micropigmentation is a non-surgical, non-invasive and incredible hair loss solution.
